To avoid announcing an announcement, I’ll just say this: the only constant in the tech industry is change. While ChatGPT has captured our attention with conspiracy theories and resume and love letter rewrites, there are some less well-known advancements happening in logistics tech.
Many companies are turning to automation, and for good reason. Even 20-year-old carousel automation systems can help companies maintain above-average picking efficiency rates. In our own industry, we’re seeing a strong focus on improving processes and increasing efficiency.
Of course, these have always been important goals. But what’s changed is that automation technology and robots have evolved to the point where it’s becoming easier to implement use cases that were once impractical.
It used to be that the only way to automate a warehouse was to convert the entire building at great expense. Now, it’s becoming more mainstream to automate specific areas and processes.
I’m excited to announce that we’re working on a very interesting partnership in this space. Our partner offers a wide range of products that can be used for pallet, carton, and unit picking, all with the appropriate automation and configurations. We’re looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.
That’s all for now but stay tuned for more exciting news soon.
